I Like Dreamin' 是張國榮首張英文細碟《I Like Dreamin'》(香港寶麗多唱片，1977) 第一面的主打歌，意義深長。

第二面: Do You Wanna Make Love

1977年初出道，即將歡渡21歲生日的哥哥張國榮，詮釋1976年由Kenny Nolan 原創、原唱的這首 I Like Dreamin' ，聲線雖尚未展露1983年之後的豐沛、寬潤，但音色格外清純，如水波光影、輕盈無痕，含蓄之間，韻味無窮。。。

I like dreaming原創、原唱者Kenny Nolan 現居美國洛杉磯，是一位從事流行樂曲多年的美國作曲、作詞者兼歌手。Nolan十三歲時，曾獲南加大作曲獎學金，但因受不了傳統教學方式，6個月之後即離校。四年後，又申請到Chiounard 獎學金，很快，又因受不了離開，專注自學，高中時代即為樂團團員之一。60年代末，Nolan開始替其他歌手作曲，至70年代中，已寫了多首暢銷歌曲，其中包括為Frankie Valli 寫的 My Eyes Adored You，及張國榮1987年翻唱的熱辣辣原曲 – 電影《紅磨坊》中之Lady Marmalade。

Nolan也喜愛唱歌，曾是樂團合音，然後加入Firefly及the Eleventh Hour 樂團，成為主唱，開始錄製唱片。1976年決定自己灌制唱片，I Like Dreaming原為另一歌手所寫的一首曲子，卻未受賞識，冷置一旁，遲遲未錄製；1976年中，Nolan決定自己錄唱，發行首張《KENNY NOLAN I LIKE DREAMIN'》 細碟，但半年過去，乏人問津，直到獲得路易斯安那州幾個電臺DJ欣賞，開始播放，慢慢受到聽眾的喜愛，11月初才得進入美國暢銷歌曲排行榜，三個月之後，於1977年2月榮登排行榜第3名。跟著之後發行的Love's Grown Deep也順利進入美國20暢銷歌曲排行榜，Nolan得以入選 Billboard 雜誌1977年度新進流行歌手首獎。在陸續出了幾張專輯之後，Nolan於1982年全面終止灌錄唱片，專注替其他歌手作曲。
